ORDINANCE NO. 14,239

AN ORDINANCE to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located north of Beardsley Street and east of 80th Avenue, in Warren County, from the "A-1" Agricultural District it will automatically receive upon annexation into the City, to the "R1-70" One-Family Low Density Residential District classification.

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:

Section 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, be and the same is hereby amended by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located north of Beardsley Street and east of 80th Avenue, in Warren County, more fully described as follows, from the "A-1" Agricultural District it will automatically receive upon annexation into the City, to the "R1-70" One-Family Low Density Residential District classification:

Parcel "B" of the survey of the South 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 5, Township 77 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M., in Warren County Iowa, as shown in Irregular Plat Book 12, Page 14, of 77-24 in the office of the Warren County Recorder.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the later of its passage and publication as provided by law, or the annexation of the property described above, or any portion thereof, into the City of Des Moines.

Sec. 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause certified copies of the vicinity map, this ordinance and proof of publication of this ordinance to be properly filed in the office of the Recorder of Polk County, Iowa.
