ORDINANCE NO. 14,252
AN ORDINANCE to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property fronting Forest Avenue between Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and 25th Street from the "C-2" General Retail and Highway Oriented Commercial District to the "NPC" Neighborhood Pedestrian Commercial District classification.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:
Section 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, be and the same is hereby amended by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property fronting Forest Avenue between Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and 25th Street, more fully described as follows, from the "C-2" General Retail and Highway Oriented Commercial District to the "NPC" Neighborhood Pedestrian Commercial District classification:
Lots 29, 30 and 31, Subdivision of Lots 22, 23 & 24 Williams 2nd Addition to North Des Moines, an Official Plat; and Lots 10, 11 and 12, Williams Addition, an Official Plat; and Lots 2 through 6, Block 3, Marquardt Addition, an Official Plat, and Lots 9 through 14, Block 2, of said Marquardt Addition, and Lots 8 and 9, Block 1, of said Marquardt Addition; and the East 32.0 feet of Lots 3 and 4, Smith’s 3rd Addition to University Place, an Official Plat; and the South 48.0 feet of Lot 3 and all of Lots 4 and 5, Smith’s 2nd Addition to University Place, an Official Plat; and Lots 1, 2, 9, 10 and 11, Drake University Official Plat, an Official Plat; and Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Allen Park, an Official Plat and the North ½ of Vacated East/West alley right-of-way lying South of and adjoining Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, of said Allen Park; and Lots 348, 349, 350, 351, 381 and 382, University Land Company’s 2nd Addition, an Official Plat, all now included in and forming a part of the City of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
Sec. 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause certified copies of the vicinity map, this ordinance, and proof of publication of this ordinance to be properly filed in the office of the Recorder of Polk County, Iowa.
