AN ORDINANCE to amend the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,924, passed February 26, 2001, and Ordinance No. 14,204, passed January 27, 2003, and Ordinance No. 14,227, passed May 5, 2003, by amending Sections 114-2600, 114-3208, 114-3343 and 114-3867 thereof, relating to traffic and vehicle regulations.

Section 1. That the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,924, passed February 26, 2001, and Ordinance No. 14,204, passed January 27, 2003, is hereby amended by amending Sections 114-2600, 114-3208, 114-3343 and 114-3867 thereof, relating to traffic and vehicle regulations, as follows:

Southwest Second Street, on the west side, from a point 200 feet south of Vine Street to a point 40 feet south thereof, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the east side, from Market Street to Elm Street, no parking 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Southwest Second Street, on the west side, from Market Street to a point 100 feet south thereof, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the west side, from a point 100 feet south of Market Street to a point 50 feet south thereof, commercial loading zone.

Southwest Second Street, on the west side, from Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway to as point 50 feet north thereof, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the west side, from Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway to Southwest Third Street, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the east side, from Columbus Avenue to a point 50 feet north thereof, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the west side, from Livingston Avenue to Columbus Avenue, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the east side, from Park Avenue to Pleasantview Drive, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the west side, from Park Avenue to Thornton Avenue, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the west side, from Thornton Avenue to a point 40 feet south thereof, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the east side, from Thornton Avenue to Watrous Avenue, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the west side, from Philip Street to McKinley Avenue, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the west side, from Porter Avenue to Lally Street, no parking any time.

Southwest Second Street, on the east side, from Porter Avenue to a point 150 feet south thereof, school passenger loading and unloading, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. school days.

Forest Drive, on the south side, from Park Place to a point 75 feet east thereof, no parking any time.

Forest Drive, on the east side, from a point 275 feet south of Grand Avenue to a point 25 feet south thereof, is designated a handicapped parking space and is subject to the same prohibition as is found in subsection 114-616(a) of this chapter.

Forest Drive, on the east side, from a point 300 feet south of Grand Avenue to a point 50 feet south thereof, is designated Official State Highway Patrol parking and is subject to the same prohibition as is found in subsection 114-614 of this chapter.

Forest Drive, on the west side, from Grand Avenue to a point 50 feet south thereof, no parking any time.

Forest Drive, on the east side, from Grand Avenue to a point 300 feet south thereof, two-hour parking 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Forest Drive, on the east side, from a point 300 feet south of Grand Avenue to Allen Place, no parking any time.

Forest Drive, on the north side, from Allen Place to Twenty-seventh Street, no parking any time.

Forest Drive, on the south side, from Twenty-seventh Street to Twenty-eighth Street, no parking any time.

Ingersoll Avenue, on the north side, from a point 540 feet west of Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway to a point 540 feet west of Twenty-fourth Street, two-hour parking 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Ingersoll Avenue, on the south side, from Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway to a point 510 feet west thereof, no parking any time.

Ingersoll Avenue, on the south side, from a point 510 feet west of Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway to Twenty-eighth Street, two-hour parking 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Ingersoll Avenue, on the north side, from Twenty-third Street to a point 170 feet east thereof, no parking any time.

Ingersoll Avenue, on the north side, from a point 540 feet west of Twenty-fourth Street to a point 210 feet west thereof, no parking any time.

Ingersoll Avenue, on the north side, from Twenty-eighth Street east for a distance of 85 feet, no parking any time.

Ingersoll Avenue, on the south side, from Twenty-eighth Street east for a distance of 35 feet, no parking any time.

Ingersoll Avenue, on the south side, from a point 145 feet east of Twenty-eighth Street to a point 35 feet easterly thereof, no parking any time.

Ingersoll Avenue, on the south side, from a point 510 feet west of Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway to a point 180 feet east of Twenty-eighth Street, no parking 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.

Ingersoll Avenue, on the north side, from a point 750 feet west of Twenty-fourth Street to a point 85 feet east of Twenty-eighth Street, two-hour parking 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Southwest Third Street, on the west side, from a point 50 feet north of Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway to a point 75 feet north thereof, ten-hour meters, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
