ORDINANCE NO. 14,280
AN ORDINANCE to amend the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, and amended by Ordinance No. 14,033, passed December 17, 2001, by amending Sections 114,2641, 114-3419, 114-3434, 114-3438 and 114-3586 and adding and enacting a new Section 114-3434.01 thereof, relating to traffic and vehicle regulations.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:
Section 1. That the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, and amended by Ordinance No. 14,033, passed December 17, 2001 is hereby amended by amending Sections 114,2641, 114-3419, 114-3434, 114-3438 and 114-3586 and adding and enacting a new Section 114-3434.01 thereof, relating to traffic and vehicle regulations, as follows:
Sec. 114-2641. Sixth Avenue--Walnut Street to Locust Street.
Sixth Avenue, parking meter 6-301, on the east side, is designated as a handicapped meter, and is subject to the same prohibition as is found in subsection 114-616(a) of this chapter.
Sixth Avenue, parking meter 6-304, on the west side, is designated as a handicapped meter, and is subject to the same prohibition as is found in subsection 114-616(a) of this chapter.
Sixth Avenue, on the east side, from Walnut Street to a point 110 feet north thereof, no parking 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Sixth Avenue, on the east side, from a point 110 feet north of Walnut Street to Locust Street, no parking 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Sixth Avenue, on the west side, from Walnut Street to a point 180 feet north thereof, no parking any time.
Sixth Avenue, on the west side, from Walnut Street to Locust Street, no parking 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Sixth Avenue, on the west side, from a point 100 feet north of Walnut Street to a point 120 feet north thereof, commercial loading zone.
Sec. 114-3419. Locust Street--East First Street to Second Avenue.
Locust Street, on the south side, from East First Street to a point 75 feet west thereof, no parking any time.
Locust Street, on the south side, from Second Avenue to a point 200 feet east thereof, no parking any time.
Locust Street, on the north side, from a point 265 feet east of Second Avenue to a point 35 feet east thereof, commercial loading zone.
Locust Street, on the north side, from Second Avenue to a point 265 feet east thereof, no parking any time.
Sec. 114-3434. East Locust Street--East First Street to East Second Street.
East Locust Street, on the north side, from East Second Street to a point 60 feet west thereof, no parking any time.
East Locust Street, on the south side, from East First Street to East Second Street, no parking any time.
Sec. 114-3434.01. East Locust Street--East Second Street to East Third Street.
East Locust Street, on the north side, from East Second Street to a point 40 feet east thereof, no parking any time.
East Locust Street, on the south side, from East Third Street to a point 30 feet west thereof, no parking any time.
Sec. 114-3438. East Locust Street--East Sixth Street to Finkbine Drive.
East Locust Street, on the south side, East Sixth Street to a point 40 feet east thereof, commercial loading zone.
East Locust Street, on the south side, from a point 150 feet east of East Sixth Street to a point 50 feet east thereof, commercial loading zone.
East Locust Street, on the north side, from Pennsylvania Avenue to a point 180 feet west thereof, no parking any time.
East Locust Street, on the south side, from East Seventh Street to a point 115 feet west thereof, no parking any time.
East Locust Street, on both sides, from East Seventh Street to a point 185 feet east thereof, no parking any time.
Raccoon Street, on the south side, from Southeast Second Street to a point 60 feet east thereof, two-hour parking 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Raccoon Street, on the south side, from a point 100 feet east of Southeast Second Street to Southeast Fourth Street, two-hour parking 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Raccoon Street, on the south side, from a point 60 feet east of Southeast Second Street to a point 40 feet east thereof, commercial loading zone.
Raccoon Street, on the north side, from a point 300 feet west of Southeast Second Street to Southeast Twelfth Street, no parking any time.
Raccoon Street, on the north side, from a point 90 feet east of Southeast Eighth Street to a point 50 feet east thereof, loading zone.
Raccoon Street, on the south side, from Southeast Fifteenth Court to Southeast Sixteenth Street, no parking any time.
Raccoon Street, on the north side, from Southeast Eighteenth Street to Southeast Nineteenth Street, no parking any time.
Raccoon Street, on the south side, from Southeast Twenty-sixth Street to a point 35 feet east of Southeast Thirtieth Street, no parking any time.
Raccoon Street, on the north side, from a point 35 feet west of Thirtieth Street to Scott Avenue, no parking any time.
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
