ORDINANCE NO. 14,302

AN ORDINANCE to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located in an area generally bounded by vacated Army Post Road on the north, Relocated Army Post Road on the south, properties fronting SW 28th Court on the east, and properties fronting SW 30th Street on the west, from the "C-2" General Retail and Highway Oriented Commercial District and "R1-80" One Family Residential District to the "M-3" Limited Industrial District classification.

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:

Section 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, be and the same is hereby amended by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located in an area generally bounded by vacated Army Post Road on the north, Relocated Army Post Road on the south, properties fronting SW 28th Court on the east, and properties fronting SW 30th Street on the west,, more fully described as follows, from the "C-2" General Retail and Highway Oriented Commercial District and "R1-80" One Family Residential District to the "M-3" Limited Industrial District classification:

C-2 TO M-3:

LOT 1, BEENER PLAZA, AN OFFICIAL PLAT AND THE SOUTH 186.0 FEET OF THE NORTH 188.0 FEET OF LOT 2. HAVERHILL PLACE, AN OFFICIAL PLAT, ALL NOW INCLUDED IN AND FORMING A PART OF THE CITY OF DES MOINES, POLK COUNTY, IOWA

R1-80 TO M-3:

LOT 1 THROUGH 6, HAVERHILL PLACE PLAT 2, AN OFFICIAL PLAT; AND,

THE ADJOINING AND INTERVENING PORTIONS SW 30TH STREET, LITTELL AVENUE AND SW 28TH COURT, ALL NOW INCLUDED IN AND FORMING A PART OF THE CITY OF DES MOINES, POLK COUNTY, IOWA.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.

Sec. 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause certified copies of the vicinity map, this ordinance and proof of publication of this ordinance to be properly filed in the office of the County Recorder of the county in which the subject property is located.
