ORDINANCE NO. 14,334
AN ORDINANCE to amend the Official Zoning Map
of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, by rezoning and changing the
district classification of certain property located in the area generally
bounded by Raccoon and Allen Streets on the north, Scott Avenue on the south,
SE 4th Street on the east, and SE 2nd and SE 3rd Streets on the west, from the
"M-1" Light Industrial District to the "D-R" Downtown
Riverfront District classification.

It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:
Section 1.
That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth
in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000,
be and the same is hereby amended by rezoning and changing the district
classification of certain property located in the area generally bounded by
Raccoon and Allen Streets on the north, Scott Avenue on the south, SE 4th
Street on the east, and SE 2nd and SE 3rd Streets on the west, and more fully
described as follows, from the "M-1" Light Industrial District to the
"D-R" Downtown Riverfront District classification:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of
Southeast 4th Street and Raccoon Street; thence South along the
southerly extension of the West right-of-way line of Southeast 4th
Street and the West right-of-way line of Southeast 4th Street to the
South right-of-way line of Scott Avenue; thence West along the South
right-of-way line of Scott Avenue to the East right-of-way line of Southeast 2nd
Street; thence North along the southerly extension of the East right-of-way
line of Southeast 2nd Street and the East right-of-way line of
Southeast 2nd and its northerly extension to the North right of way
line of Allen Street; thence East along the North right-of-way line of Allen
Street and its easterly extension to the East right-of-way line of Southeast 3rd
Street; thence North along the East right-of-way line of Southeast 3rd
Street and its northerly extension to the North right-of-way line of Raccoon
Street; thence East along the North right-of-way line of Raccoon Street to the
Point of Beginning.
Sec. 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and publication as provided by law.
Sec. 3.
That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause certified
copies of the vicinity map, this ordinance and proof of publication of this
ordinance to be properly filed in the office of the County Recorder of the
county in which the subject property is located.
