ORDINANCE to amend the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000,
adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, by amending Section 22-50
thereof, relating to powers and responsibilities of the Des Moines
International Airport Board.

It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:
Section 1.
That the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted
by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, is hereby amended by amending
Section 22-50 relating to powers and responsibilities of the Des Moines
International Airport Board, as follows:
Sec.
22-50. Powers and responsibilities.
(a) The board, except as otherwise provided in this chapter, shall have
the authority to govern the operation of the airport, including but not limited
to the following powers and responsibilities:

(5) Buy, lease, sell
or exchange supplies, equipment and materials and procure services or work to
the extent unencumbered funds are available for payment pursuant to Subsection
V, Procurement Division of Chapter 2, Administration of Article V, Departments
of Division 3, Finance. All references to the city council in Subsection V,
Procurement Division of Chapter 2, Administration of Article V, Departments of
Division 3, Finance of this Code shall be deemed to mean the airport board in
their application as provided in this article.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
