AN ORDINANCE to amend the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, by repealing subsection (1) of Section 102-221 thereof, and enacting a new subsection (1) of Section 102-221, regarding the division lines used for naming City streets and assigning address numbers.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:
Section 1. The Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, be and is hereby amended by repealing subsection (1) of Section 102-221 thereof, and enacting a new subsection (1) of Section 102-221, regarding the division lines used for naming City streets and assigning address numbers, as follows:
Sec. 102-221. Division lines.
There are hereby established, for the purpose of naming the city streets, division lines as follows:
(1) Line A. A line beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Vine Street with the middle of the channel of the Des Moines River, thence westerly along the centerline of Vine Street and the westerly projection of the centerline of Vine Street to the north right-of-way line of C., R.I. & P. Railway, thence westerly along the north right-of-way line of the C., R.I. & P. Railway to the centerline of the Fleur Drive bridge over the Raccoon River, thence southwesterly along the centerline of the Fleur Drive bridge and the centerline of Fleur Drive to the centerline of West Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway; thence West along the centerline of West Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway to the centerline of Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, thence northerly along the centerline of Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway to the north right-of-way line of C., R.I. & P. Railway, thence westerly along the north right-of-way line of the C. R.I. and P. Railway to the intersection with the east and west centerline of section 7-78-24, thence west along the centerline of section 7-78-24 and sections 12 and 11, township 78, range 25, to the west city limits, designated as and called line A.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
