ORDINANCE NO. 14,442
AN ORDINANCE to amend
the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section
134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, by
rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located
in the vicinity of 900 18th Street from the "C-2" General Retail and
Highway Oriented Commercial District, the "R-HD" Residential Historic
District, the "R-3" Multiple Family Residential District and the "R1-60"
One-Family Low-Density Residential District to the "R-3" Multiple
Family Residential District, the "R-HD" Residential Historic District
and the "NPC" Neighborhood Pedestrian Commercial District
classifications.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City
of Des Moines, Iowa:
Section 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City of
Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, be and the same is hereby amended by rezoning
and changing the district classification of certain property located in the
vicinity of 900 18th Street, more fully described as follows, from the
"C-2" General Retail and Highway Oriented Commercial District, the
"R-HD" Residential Historic District, the "R-3" Multiple Family
Residential District and the "R1-60" One-Family Low-Density
Residential District to the "R-3" Multiple Family Residential
District, the "R-HD" Residential Historic District and the
"NPC" Neighborhood Pedestrian Commercial District classifications, as
follows:
All Lots 1, 2, 3, Block
11, Davies 3rd Addition, an Official Plat; and all Lots 113, 114, T.
E. Brown’s Addition, an Official Plat, all now included in an forming a part of
the City of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa
All Lots 14, 15, Block
3, Davies 2nd Addition, an Official Plat; all Lots 103, 104, 115, T.
E. Brown’s Addition, an Official Plat; the East 62 feet of Lot 102 of said T.
E. Brown’s Addition; and the North 42 feet of Lots 101 and 116, T. E. Brown’s
Addition, all now included in and forming a part of the City of Des Moines,
Polk County, Iowa

Official Plat; and that part of Blocks B and E, Leyner’s Plat, an Official
Plat, lying West of the East Pavement Line of 19th Street, all now
included in and forming a part of the City of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa
All Block C, Kuhn’s
Addition, an Official Plat, all now included in and forming a part of the City
of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
Sec. 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to cause certified copies of the vicinity map, this ordinance and
proof of publication of this ordinance to be properly filed in the office of
the County Recorder of the county in which the subject property is located.
