AN ORDINANCE to amend the Official Zoning Map of the
City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of
the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, by rezoning and changing the district
classification of certain property located in the vicinity of 2629 E. 29th
Street and 2903 Grandview Avenue from the "R1-60" One-Family
Residential District to the "C-1" Neighborhood Retail Commercial
District classification.

It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:
Section 1.
That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth
in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000,
be and the same is hereby amended by rezoning and changing the district classification
of certain property located in the vicinity of 2629 E. 29th Street and 2903
Grandview Avenue, more fully described as follows, from the "R1-60"
One-Family Residential District to the "C-1" Neighborhood Retail
Commercial District classification:
Lot 12, Golfview, an Official Plat, and Lot 16 and a
part of Lot 20, Millsons Addition, an Official Plat, all now included in and
forming a part of the City of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, and being more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning
at the southeasterly corner of said Lot 12; thence South 1º24'45" East,
43.84 feet; thence South 88º35'15" West, 75.90 feet to the West line of
said Lot 20; thence South 00º03'21" East along the West line of said Lot
20, a distance of 57.27 feet to the Southeast corner of said Lot 16; thence
North 89º48'30" West, 181.63 feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot 16;
thence North 00º42'41" West, 99.91 feet to the Northwest corner of said
Lot 16; thence North 89º36'52" East, 182.78 feet to the Northeast corner
of said Lot 16; thence North 89º03'29" East along the North line of said
Lot 20, a distance of 24.87 feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot 12; thence
North 17º35'15" East, 178.55 feet to the northwesterly corner of said Lot
12; thence South 46º17'11" East, 62.93 to the northeasterly corner of said
Lot 12; thence South 21º26'55" West, 135.26 feet to the Point of
Beginning.
Sec. 2. This
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
publication as provided by law.
Sec. 3. That the
City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of the
vicinity map, this ordinance, and proof of publication of this ordinance to be
properly filed in the office of the Polk County Recorder.
