ORDINANCE NO. 14,513

AN ORDINANCE to amend the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, and amended by Ordinance No 14,121, passed July 16, 2002, and Ordinance No. 14,486, passed September 12, 2005, by amending Sections 114-2738, 114-3925.9 and 114-3992 and adding and enacting a new Section 114-3052.01, thereof, relating to vehicle and traffic regulations.

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:

Section 1. That the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, and amended by Ordinance No. 14,121, passed July 16, 2002 and Ordinance No. 14,486, passed September 12, 2005, is hereby amended by amending Sections 114-2738, 114-3925.9 and 114-3992 and adding and enacting a new Section 114-3052.01, thereof, relating to vehicle and traffic regulations, as follows:

Sec. 114-2738. Thirteenth Street‑‑Locust Street to Grand Avenue.

Thirteenth Street, on the east side, from Grand Avenue to a point 140 feet south thereof, no parking any time.

Thirteenth Street, on the east side, from Locust Street to a point 50 feet north thereof, no parking any time.

Thirteenth Street, on the west side, from Locust Street to Grand Avenue, resident permit parking only, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Thirteenth Street, on the west side, from a point 100 feet north of Locust Street to a point 35 feet north thereof, commercial loading zone.

Thirteenth Street, on the east side, from Grand Avenue to a point 50 feet north of Locust Street, Resident Permit Parking only, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Sec. 114-3052.01. Carr Street--East Thirteenth Street to East Thirty-fourth Street.

Carr Street, on both sides, from East Thirty-second Street to East Thirty-fourth Street, no parking any time.

Sec. 114-3925.9. Locust Street‑‑Ninth Street to Tenth Street.

Locust Street, on the south side, from a point 110 feet west of Ninth Street to Tenth Street, two-hour meters, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Locust Street, on the north side, from Ninth Street to a point 140 feet west thereof, two-hour meters, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Locust Street, on the north side, from a point 200 feet west of Ninth Street to Tenth Street, two-hour meters, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sec. 114-3992. Thirteenth Street‑‑Locust Street to Grand Avenue.

Thirteenth Street, on the west side, from Locust Street to a point 100 feet north thereof, two-hour meters, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Thirteenth Street, on the west side, from a point 135 feet north of Locust Street to Grand Avenue, two-hour meters, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Thirteenth Street, on the west side, 13-400, two-hour meter, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., is designated as a handicapped parking space and is subject to the same prohibitions as is found in subsection 114-616(a) of this chapter.

Thirteenth Street, on the east side, from a point 50 feet north of Locust Street to a point 110 feet north thereof, four-hour meters, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
