ORDINANCE NO. 14,897

AN ORDINANCE to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located along the E 14th Street and SE 14th Street Corridor, including portions of Highway 69 and Southridge Boulevard, to impose the "VDL" Vehicle Display Lot Overlay District.

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:

Section 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, be and the same is hereby amended by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located along the E 14th Street and SE 14th Street Corridor, including portions of Highway 69 and Southridge Boulevard, all as more specifically described below, to impose the "VDL" Vehicle Display Lot Overlay District.

All those strips of land lying East of and within 50.0 feet of the East right-of-way lines of E 14th Street, of that portion of SE 14th Street which is also Highway 69, of that portion of Highway 69 extending southeasterly from its convergence with SE 14th Street, and of Southridge Boulevard; and, all those strips of land lying West of and within 50.0 feet of the West right-of-way lines of NE 14th Street, of E 14th Street, of that portion of SE 14th Street which is also Highway 69, of that portion of Highway 69 extending southeasterly from its convergence with SE 14th Street, and of Southridge Boulevard, all now included in and forming a part of the City of Des Moines, in both Polk and Warren Counties, in the State of Iowa.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.

Sec. 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause certified copies of the vicinity map, this ordinance and proof of publication of this ordinance to be properly filed in the office of the Polk County Recorder and also in the office of the Warren County Recorder.
