Mayor's Annual Ride/Run for Trails
Held the third Saturday in April, "MARR" is hosted annually by the Mayor of Des Moines. Started in 1987 by then-Mayor John Pat Dorrian, this ride/run along streets and trails attracts over 1,000 riders. Proceeds go to improve Des Moines trails.

Started in 1973, the Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) is held the last full week of July and is the longest, largest and oldest bicycle-touring event in the world. More Info
Bicycle rental service is available at Gray's Lake Park's concession stand daily from 10am to 8pm beginning mid-April. More Info
